The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) is the national association representing the payroll community in Canada . The CPA's mission is Payroll Leadership through Advocacy and Education. The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) has registered more than 25,000 students in their Payroll Management Certificate Program (PMCP). Professional certification at one or more levels of the PMCP is a prerequisite for employment and career advancement in payroll by an increasing number of employers. This program helps payroll professionals avoid substantial penalties for non-compliance with government rules and regulations and other costly administrative errors.
