Program Overview
The purpose of the program is to provide students with the skills necessary to understand and apply the principles of office management, customer relations, marketing, and project management to proprietorships, partnerships and corporations in a computerized office environment. The course also provides a significant portion of the FITTskills program for International Trade in Import/Export. This allows the student to pursue employment in the many business growing in the global economy. Student will also learn accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and Payroll. You have the opportunity to learn to operate three computerized accounting software applications including: Simply Accounting and ACCPAC.
This program is instructor-driven. The curriculum includes experiential lectures and workshops facilitated by specialized industry experts (eg. Accounting instructors have CGA designations and at least 5 years experience in the industry). The program also includes work experience (practicum) at various small and mid-sized businesses throughout the lower mainland.

- Code, total, batch enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and bank statements in a ledger or computer system
