Program Overview

Students taking this diploma will learn to create, modify, and interpret 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings using software and management tools commonly used in engineering drafting and designing, and estimating, surveying, inspecting, Materials Testing, and coordinating. Construction ttechnician Skills for employment in the Architecture, Civi engineering and construction industries will be emphasized. Students will gain a solid competence with AutoDesk Land Development, used in civil engineering and public works. Students will also learn about local construction industry standard practices, local building code, civil infrastructure construction methodologies, design / drafting, surveying, project estimating and construction material testing procedures. Students will visit various local construction sites to gain real-life experience.
