Vendor Certifications:
• A+
Tis the industry standard validating the vendor-neutral skills expected of an entry-level computer technician. The CompTIA A+ exam consists of two exams - the A+ Core Hardware exam and the A+ OS Technologies exam. It is sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) and tests are administered by Sylvan Prometric.
Having an A+ certification proves that you have a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking.
It has no prerequisites but is widely used as a starting point for various system administration and network administration certifications.
• Network+
Network+ is an entry-level, vendor-neutral certification that you can achieve on your way to more advanced certifications, such as the Microsoft MCSE. It is sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) and tests are administered by Sylvan Prometric.
The Network+ designation is achieved by passing one conventional format exam that covers topics including: media and topologies, protocols, standards, network implementation, and network support. The Network+ certification thus demonstrates the candidate’s knowledge of foundational networking subjects.
Those holding Network+ certification demonstrate critical knowledge of media and topologies, protocols and standards, network implementation and network support.
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
The MCSE credential is one of the most widely recognized technical certifications in the industry. By earning the premier MCSE credential, individuals are demonstrating that they have the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, implementation, and administration of the most advanced Windows operating system and Microsoft Windows Server System.

There are no specific prerequisites for the MCSE, although Microsoft says: “candidates should also have at least one year of experience implementing and administering network operating systems and desktop operating systems.“ As soon as candidates pass their first qualifying exam for the MCSE program, they achieve a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification.
• Certificated Cisco Network Administrator (CCNA)
The CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification is Cisco’s entry-level certification. Teach student install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks, including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists.
This course gives student a detailed understanding of the technologies behind modern networks. Student will learn how the differences between different types of networks and how they are usually used; how to configure Cisco IOS to implement each of the various protocols.
This course is ideal for IT support staff, network engineers and technical managers who wish to gain the Cisco CCNA accreditation.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Cisco’s CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) is an intermediate-level certification for IT professionals The CCNP Certification has as its prerequisite the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
The CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification is a prerequisite for the CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification. To receive the Cisco CCNP certification requires an individual to pass four examinations.
Cisco Systems CCNP holders proficiently demonstrate the ability to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot complex routed LAN, routed WAN, switched LAN networks, and Dial Access Services. Further the course is designed to prepare students wishing to pursue a career dedicated to Cisco router internetworking, design, configuration and support.
