Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors - CITC is the national association that certifies and designates travel professionals across Canada. On completion of this program, students are well prepared for initial employment as travel counsellors. This program offers a strong focus on customer service, communications, and sales. Students learn about popular world destinations, to accurately calculate costs for all the travel components, to make computer-based reservations, and other skills to improve their job readiness. The CITC endorsement of training is the preferred standard of most employers.

Certified Travel Counsellors are the front-line workers in the travel industry, providing guidance on how to get the best value on individual or group travel bookings. More specifically, they provide direction on destinations, transportation, accommodation and costs; make transportation and accommodation reservations using a computerized reservation and ticketing system; sell single fare tickets, packaged tours and insurance; promote particular destinations, tour packages and other travel services; and provide travel tips regarding tourist attractions, foreign currency, customs, language and travel safety.
American Hotel and Lodging Association - AHLA provides global services ranging from education and management to technology and marketing. The AHLA is engaged in international professional promotion and professionals' development in this area. It ensures high graduate quality, conforms to international tourism standards, and provides the best support and training. Vancouver Central College, in association with the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA), is offering a Hospitality Management Program. This program will introduce students to the exciting world of hospitality management, which offers countless job opportunities in one of the world's fastest growing industries.
