Certificate in international Trade
Program Overview
The purpose of the International trade certificate program is to provide students with the skills necessary to understand and apply the principles of FITT and Ciffa skills program for International Trade and Freight forwarding. This allows the student to pursue employment in the trade business growing in the global economy. Responsive to standards and demands of industry for training in this field, Vancouver central College has partnered with FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (Ciffa), to deliver the program.
The structure of the program will consist of two separate certifications that are recognized worldwide. The first certification is from completion of the four FITT modules required for the Forum for International Trade Certificate. The second certification is achieved by the completion of Module 1 of the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (Ciffa) program.
Who Should Participate
The program is designed for those who are interested in areas of Import/Export, Logistics, Transportation, Freight forwarding and brokerage management. Students may start their own business and service companies.
