Diploma in international Trade and Freight Forwarding
Program Overview
NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) & the new WTO (World Trade Organization) agreements are revolutionizing international trade and creating millions of new business opportunities. Responsive to standards and demands of industry for training in this field, Vancouver Central College has partnered with the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) and the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (Ciffa), to deliver this program.
The program consists of two separate certifications that are recognized worldwide. The first certification results from completion of the 8 FITT modules required for the Forum for International Trade Diploma and the educational requirements for the Certified International Trade Professional designation (C.I.T.P.). The second certification is achieved by the completion of Module 1 of the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (Ciffa) program.
Who Should Participate
The program is designed for those who are interested in areas of Import/Export, Logistics, Transportation, Freight forwarding and brokerage management. Students may start their own business and service companies.
