Health Care Assistant program is initiated in response to the need for recognizing the past education, training and work experience of applicants to the Resident Care Attendant (RCA) Program who has Health care background outside Canada and the people who are working or used to work in the health care industry without any formal education. This flexible fast-tract program will help them achieve their goal successfully without interrupting their work schedule.
Program Overview
This 26 week part time Health care Assistant diploma program is designed for those who are working in health care industry or live-in care givers who would like to have flexibility in their schedules. This is an intensive version of our full time Resident Care attendant diploma program. This is flexible but very intense fast track program which will help people to attain RCA/HCA diploma without interrupting their busy weekday work schedules. The curriculum includes experiential lectures and workshops facilitated by specialized industry experts and work experience practicum at various governments, non-profit, institutional and community-based care agencies throughout the lower mainland. RCAs work as part of a team within a health care unit under the supervision of a health care professional such as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

Duration and Financing
Duration: 26 weeks part time program. Classes will be the combination of online and onsite instructions on weekends.
