Hotel and Travel Management

VThe Diploma in Hospitality and Travel is a program that encompasses a diverse range of professional positions in the accommodation and travel sectors of the tourism industry. The program provides job-ready skills to those who plan to take on a career in the tourism industry. Tourism has always been one of BC’s principal sectors and with the fast approach of the 2010 Winter Games over and above the ever-growing annual population of international visitors to BC, there will be a great demand for skilled workers in this field.

This vocational training program provides both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for working in tourism. Training modules are based on courses endorsed by the Canadian Institute of Travel Counselors (CITC) and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) Rooms Division Management. Students may choose to write the exams at the college, and on successful completion will receive CITC and AHLA certifications.
